Association of Pacific Islands Public Auditors (APIPA)
The Association of Pacific Islands Public Auditors (APIPA) was established in January 1988 through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the heads of audit organizations from five(5) Pacific Island Nations.
APIPA aims to promote efficiency and accountability in the use of public resources across the Pacific. It provides a forum of exchanging ideas, experiences, and solutions unique to public auditors in the region. APIPA also sponsors training workshops, identifies scholarship sources, and promote public awareness about the importance of auditing public resources.
Pacific Association of Supreme Auditors Institution (PASAI)
The Pacific Association of Supreme Auditors Institutions (PASAI) is the official associations of supreme audit institutions (SAIs) in the Pacific region. PASAI's mission is to strengthen public auditing in the Pacific to enhance transparency, accountability and good governance.
It provides support through capacity-building initiatives, technical assistance, and the promotion of best practices in public sector auditing. PASAI also facilitates cooperation and knowledge sharing among its member institutions to improve the quality and impact of audits in the region.
Both APIPA and PASAI play crucial roles in enhancing public accountability and governance in the Pacific, ensuring that public resources are managed effectively and transparently.
